B-07
Vintage Cast Bronze U.S. American Legion Plaque/Emblem A well patinated American Legion cast bronze plaque or emblem for your review.

It was cast by the "NASHUA, N. H. BRONZE CRAFT CORP.", as marked on the back of the plaque. It measures 6 3/4" in diameter & is in good condition with green patination covering the face. It may have adorned the entrance of an American Legion chapter as it's appearance suggests exposure to the elements for a considerable length of time.

The back side has 2 loops for hanging & a protrusion at the bottom for stabilizing it; however, the bottom protrusion appears to be broken off in part.

This handsome plaque would be a treasured addition to a collection of military or war items, particularly to a person who has served their country. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest. (Item ID:B-07)

D-3
Vintage Bohemian Yellow Cased Spangle Glass Basket This attractive vintage Bohemian spangle glass basket is yellow w/silver & butterscotch particles throughout.

It has a white inner casing & a clear reeded glass handle. The pontil & bottom of the basket are polished. It measures 4 1/2" across & 6" from base to top of handle.

This is a good one for glass basket collectors & possibly Bohemian glass enthusiasts. The "white" looking spots in the photos are actually silver for the true spangle glass touch.

Thank you for stopping by The Treasure Chest. (Item ID:D-3)

B-23
Vintage Cast Bronze U.S. Army Air Corps Branch Insignia -15 1/2 A very nice rare, vintage, cast bronze U.S. Army Air Corps Branch Insignia for your review.

This rare plaque has old layers of paint over the base bronze which has oxidized on the backside to the lovely green.
The plaque is 15 1/2" wide & 7" high. While we have not been able to establish the exact date of this plaque, but base on the aging & patination, we believe it was cast between the formation of the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1926 & the separation of the Air Corps into the U.S. Air Force, a separate military branch in 1947.

It still serves as a branch insignia of Army Aviation & the symbol is used on Army & Air Force aviator badges. This is a desirable & interesting item. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.

Vintage Swedish Bayonet - For Swedish Mauser Rifles This item may not be sold outside the U.S.A.

This item may not be purchased on PayPal, -- money order, personal check & cashiers check are accepted.

The bayonet & the scabbard tip are in excellent condition. The scabbard tip is marked with the crown & the very top at the bayonet entry is marked E.

It has 80% of it's original bluing & has no corrosion whatsoever. The bayonet blade shows no use, only marks of being drawn out & inserted into the scabbard. It has no corrosion, nicks, scratches, or damage.

The tang is marked with a crown & "629" on one side & "EJ CROWN AB". Below the crown an anchor pierces "E". We believe this is an indication of the manufacture at ESKILSTUNA, SWEDEN. The bolster, facing the scabbard is marked "102" on one side & "EJ CROWN AB" with an anchor piercing an "E". On the side of the bolster further markings identify ".11" over an "L" followed by "No 649".

The handle has criss/cross grooves & has retained 70% of it's original bluing. This bayonet was made originally for the M/96 & later, Model 6.5 x 55mm Swedish Mauser.

The bayonet is in as excellent condition as can be found & is a perfect specimen for the edged weapon or military collection. Thank you for shopping at The Treasure Chest. after . (Item ID:Q-04)

Click for more detail...
C-25
Antique French Bayonet & Scabbard c. 1876 An antique French bayonet & scabbard dating c. 1876 for your appreciation & inspection.

The overall length of the bayonet is 25 3/8" with a blade of 20 1/2" long. The blade has never been sharpened but has some patination marks & has some nicks a few inches from the tip.

The back of the bayonet is inscribed with: "M de Olimeade St Etienne Janvier 1876". The curved hand guard has a serial number "G 35687" which matches the serial number on the scabbard as it should.

The bayonet handle is made of wood & has a couple of dings as would be expected. The latch for holding the bayonet to the gun barrel works perfectly. The scabbard is in good condition with approximately 90% of the original bluing intact.

There are some surface rust spots at the tip. The very tip has a number "2" on the front surface & a circled "O" on the back surface. The tang area has a circled "M" & another "M" with a crown over it. The hand guard also has "2" on the underside. There are also 3 marks on the outside of the hand guard, one an "O" in a circle & an "M" in a circle. The third mark could be a fleur de lis.

The bayonet is truly in a rare good condition with it's original scabbard & would be a superb addition to a collection of military weapons. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest. (Item ID:C-25) Add to Shopping Bag

I-22
WW II CASE XX Survival Machete & Blade Guard - Near Mint! A vintage WW Ii Case XX survival machete in near mint condition with it's original blade guard, is presented for you inspection.

The overall length of the machete is 15 1/2" with a blade length of 19" which has 99 % of it's original bluing. This machete is as near mint as could be found.

The blade has not been sharpened or used & is inscribed with "CASE XX" one one side. The blade guard has 90 % of it's original black paint. Because of the dark blade guard & blade, we were not able to get really clear photos of delineation between the two.

The handle or scales are of hard wood held together with 4 rivets. The scales are in excellent condition. We have not seen another machete of this type in this excellent condition -- it is truly of museum quality for display along edged weapons or weaponry.

This exceptional machete is a wonderful addition to any collector's prized collection. Thank you for stopping by The Treasure Chest.
