Cigar Nipper & Leather Case - Advertising E. Merck A very nice Rostrei cigar nipper with it's original leather case provided by E. Merck as an advertising gift.

The nipper is highly chased with a herring bone pattern on both sides. It is made of stainless steel & in mint condition. It measures 2 1/16" long by 3/4" wide & 1/4" thick. When opened, it measures 2 7/8".

The inner sliding blade is inscribed: "ROSTREI DBP 887711". The nipper fits snugly into it's handsome leather case which is tooled with: "E. MERCK". It is a handsome set that will fit into a pocket as small as a coin pocket & be ready for the essential cigar cutting ceremony.

Vintage Brass Plated Desk/Table Top Cigarette Dispenser A nice vintage brass plated cigarette dispenser, for the desk or table top, for your review.

The drum shaped holder/dispenser measures 3" tall & is 2 3/4" in diameter. The box is opened by pressing on the button near the top lip. It holds 18 cigarettes & when the top flips open, the cigarettes pop up for easy access. We have no cigarettes to demonstrate this mechanism, but it works very well.

There is no visible maker mark on the worn felt bottom as the gold label on the worn felt bottom has had all printing obliterated. The brass finish is patinated throughout & adds to the charm of the dispenser.

Vintage Cast Metal Hedge Hog Stacking Ash Trays - Signed A very nice cast metal set of hedge hog ash trays, artist signed, for your appreciation.

This item has 6 stacked ash trays to form a European hedge hog. It is artist signed on the base. There is disagreement as to whether it is Austrian or Russian. We purchased it in Finland and it was sold to us as Russian made, ca 1940 - 50s.

This is a wonderfully designed piece, with a full family of 6 hedgehogs. They would make a lovely present for a smoker or non-smoker, an adorable conversation piece, ideal for a desk or coffee table.

Unique Daisy Flower Ash Tray & Match Holder Set A lovely, personal flower metal ash tray in the form of a daisy with a matching match box holder for your review.

The ash tray is 4" long from the flower edge to the end of the gold colored stem & is 2 5/8" in diameter at it's widest point. Vintage Pocket Pipe - Dutch Shoe This is only the second of these wonderful little "Dutch Shoe" pipes that we've had over these many years.

The pipe is marked on the side in incised gold lettering: "Souvenir Of Hollande" & on the base by the heel is incised: "Modele Depose".

With the stem turn in the extended position, the pipe measures 4 1/8" long. Folded it is 2" high & 2 1/2" long. It is in very good condition, appearing to have never been used.

Vintage Oriental Pewter & Brass Ash Tray This is a very well made vintage pewter & brass ash tray, probably dating c.1920.

The body is a heavy pewter with brass stylized bird & flowers. I should probably call the item a "box" as that is how it is shaped.

The bottom is stamped "Made In Hong Kong" which is getting rarer and hence collectible.

On our last trip there our guide said that almost no items are made there as it is too expensive & that they contracted with China for most items. This item is in very good condition.

Vintage Fine Leather Covered Briar Pipe - Italy A fine Briar pipe with a leather covering over the bowl & part of the stem.

The pipe is an excellent one & the only wear is near the end of the stem from teeth marks. The leather is stamped: " Derby Pig Skin Finest Briar Italy.

The pipe has been used, but as with all fine pipes, this only mellows them.

Vintage Hand Carved Figural Toro or Bull If you like the unique, this 5" long, hand carved "Toro" briar pipe, dating c. 1950, is for you.

The horns & eyes are either bone or horn. There are no maker marks on this item but we believe it is from Spain as is the "Matador" pipe, Item U-15, that we offer.

The pipe has been gently used with only minor marks near the end of the mouthpiece & on the bowl, but no real damage. This is an item for the collector or pipe smoker who likes the unique.

Vintage Hand Carved Figural This is a very detailed hand carved briar pipe in the form of a "Matador".

The name "Spain" is carved into the briar stem. It dates c. 1950. This makes for a perfect & unique pair when coupled with the "Toro" pipe (our Item #U-14), for either the smoker or the collector.

The pipe has been used & the bowl & mouthpiece show some use, but overall, it is in excellent condition & a great buy.

Vintage Travel Novel-Craft Clay Poker Chip/Ash Tray Rack & Box This is a unique item was apparently made for travel, in which the "rack" becomes four racks with an ash tray as part of each rack.

The set contains 100 chips which could be correctly distributed in each tray. I have chosen to stack them by color when photographing them.

We have the original box which is a little the worse for wear, but I'm sure it can be repaired by an expert.

The racks are 4 1/2" in diameter & each tray is 1/2" tall. The four trays stacked together are about 2 3/8" tall. The clay poker chips are in excellent condition, light weight, & measure about 1 1/16 in diameter, or just slightly larger than a U.S. quarter.

When we purchased it at an estate sale, the bracket that holds the rack together was placed wrong so one ash tray has a crack about 1 1/4" long; however it is in otherwise very good condition (The crack is visible in Picture #5).

The metal bracket has some age pitting which we did not try to "clean up" as it is better to leave that to the buyer's taste.

The top of the original box gives instructions on how to correctly use the set when removing the bracket & replacing it. Two sides of the box show an illustration of the rack & chips. It states: " CHIP rack" & "Ash TRAY"; "Manufactured by: Novel-Craft Mfg. Co., New York, N.Y. U.S.A." There is other printing also.

All in all, the set is in good condition for it's age & is still usable or would make an excellent addition to a poker chip or gambling memorabilia collection.

Vintage House of Windsor, Ltd Smoking Pipe A very nice House of Windsor, Ltd. smoked pipe, with a sand blast finish, for presented for your review. (The metal band is silver colored & the yellow is reflected color only.)

The pipe is in excellent condition. The mouth piece is imprinted with "Solid Rubber" on the underside. There is a scuff near the end of the stem. The metal band may be silver plate or nickle silver.

The bowl is perfect for smoking, have the right amount of carbon deposits for best dissipation for a cool smoke. The outside of the bowl has a rough sand blast finish & has a smooth rectangular area with "House Of Windsor, Ltd" on it.

This is a handsome addition to a pipe collection & has the name of a premier pipe make. It has been used but not abused.
