19th Century Flow Blue Sauce Boat - W. H. Grindley - England A beautiful Flow Blue sauce or gravy boat from 19th century England by W. H. Grindley in "The Duchese" pattern, for your review.

The sauce boat measure 8 1/2" long from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle. It is 4 1/2" tall at the top of the handle. There is good gold trim along the ornate scalloped rim & ornate handle.

The mark on the base is: "The Duchese W. H Grindley England". In flow blue, there is the word "Derwent" & also a mark in gold. There is a beautiful plate that I have used under the boat even though it is of different pattern, & I will be adding that piece shortly.

19th Century Flow Blue 9 A beautiful & unblemished 9" by 5 1/4" serving dish by W. H. Grindley, England, in the lovely flow blue "Portman" pattern, for your review.

The piece has excellent gold. I cannot make out the pattern as the mark is smeared. It is an old W. H. Grindley mark but it has made it through the years in excellent condition.

I have used it both as a serving dish & as an under plate for the sauce boat, Item E-22, even though it is a different pattern.
