Vintage Heavy Crystal Salt Shaker & 2 Pepper Mills A set of one salt shaker & 2 pepper mills, in heavy cut & polished crystal, for your inspection.

The set is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. There are no markings of any kind. The caps appear to be silver plate in good condition. Each piece weighs 14 oz. They measure 4 7/8" from base to top of silver lids. They are beautiful!!

The set is from the collection of Col. Don Davis, world traveler, & could have been purchased any place in the Davis family travels. The set would make a lovely addition to your fine dining table & are lovely in a cabinet for display.

Vintage Silver Deposit On Porcelain Salt & Pepper - Irice For your review: A pair of lovely & unusual Irice salt & pepper shakers in porcelain with silver deposit design.

The set is white porcelain with silver deposit designs & chrome over brass tops. They measure approximately 2 1/4" tall & are 1 3/4" in diameter at their widest point.

Both shakers are marked on the bottoms: AN IRICE PRODUCT & Hand Painted. We have seen the beautiful Irice colognes but this is the first set of salt & pepper shakers that we've seen by that company.

Vintage Erzgebirge Nutcracker Soldier - 16 An unusual vintage original Erzgebirge blue-coated soldier from the German Democratic Republic.

The soldier stand 16" tall & is dressed in a blue coated military uniform with bright touches of gold. He is standing with a full-length battleax & has a bugle in his right hand.

The piece has it's original sticker on it's base reading: ORIGINAL ERZGEBIRGE Exportec DDR, dating it to the period of the existence of East Germany.

Cast Iron Egg Beater - c. 1900 This is a great antique cast iron egg beater c. 1900. It is stamped: T&S No. 40 Made in U.S.A. on the wheel & the wooden handle crank is in very good condition.

Pewter & Porcelain Demitasse Cup & Saucer - Vintage This lovely demitasse cup & saucer was purchased in the 1950's in Czechoslovakia.

The white porcelain cup has a raised mark on it's base. It has a decorative 1/4" silver deposit design encircling the lip of the cup & it appears to have had little or no use. It measures 2 1/8" in diameter at the top & is 2 1/4" tall.

The saucer & cup holder are an ornate pewter with an elaborate handle. The saucer is approximately 4 1/4" across. Both cup holder & saucer have a makers mark that is circular in design with a rampant lion in the center. In the circular band is printed: "Zinn Stupe 95%" & a cross.

It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, & with a few scuff marks on the base of the saucer & normal base wear on the base of the cup holder.

Vintage Nutcracker Chimney Sweep - Erzgebirge - 13 1/2 A really unusual Erzgebirge nutcracker in the form of a chimney sweep with all his tools.

This excellent nutcracker measures approximately 13 5/8" tall, the crown of his top hat is 2 3/4" in diameter & the base is 3 1/2" by 2 3/4".

He is in excellent condition & comes with his own ladder & long handled brush to sweep your chimney. He is properly dressed in his black uniform with "gold" button & trimmed belt, & also wears the red polka dot kerchief around his neck.

The piece has the original label on it's base, attesting to the fact that it is an ORIGINAL ERZGEBIRGE Exportec DDR.

Cocktail Stirrer - Silver Plate, Inlaid Enamel Horn Bird - 14" A unique & beautiful horn handled cocktail spoon stirrer with inlaid enamel decorations & gold-colored metal wings for your appreciation.

The spoon is unmarked but the shank & spoon portion are silver plated or silver. The item measures 14 inches long. The silver is in excellent condition.

The 4 inch handle is of a beautiful bird made of carved horn. The wings are of a gold colored metal, possibly brass. The head, neck & wings have red & blue circles of what may be enamel.

The back of the bird has gold-colored toothed wire beside each wing & what appears to be a criss-crossed decoration with the red & blue circles in their centers.

This item is from the collection of Col. Donald Davis, (Rtd.). Col. Davis has lived & traveled throughout the world, collecting many interesting items. He has the distinction of being a child actor in Max Sennett movies under the names of Donald Marion & John Henry, Jr. He is still active & still adding to his eclectic collections.

Rare Old Food Chopping Knife This is a rare antique food chopping knife with an unusual wood handle.

This item has an unusual 6 7/8" high carbon steel blade, in the round, for use in a chopping bowl.

One side of the blade has an inscription which appears to be: LAKE & SON CO Albany Cast Steel Warranted, The blade has extensive patination, pepper marks, & old surface pitting; however, the blade is sharp, shows vintage use & gentle sharpening.

The blade rings with high pitch when tapped, as extremely hard steel blades should. The blade is perfectly round without worn areas.

The handle is unusual, carved Hickory wood & the blade is firmly attached to it with 2 brass rivets, with large heads. One rivet is somewhat larger, with a recessed center with an eagle in the center. Around the center eagle is the inscription: SUPERIOR WARRANTED. There are no cracks in the wood handle.

It is the most unusual chopping knife we've seen, & while showing age, is in very good condition - museum quality. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.

The piece is in excellent condition. The sterling handle has a beautiful Repousse pattern & is marked STERLING on 2 sides, near the top. The opener portion is stamped: GERMANY. Any yellow color is reflected & not in the opener.

Columbia Family Scales - c. 1900 An antique family scales by Landers, Frary & Clark for household weights up to 24 pounds.

The scales is in very good condition for an item of this age. It appears to be older than some that show a patent dating 1907 as there is no patent date on this item.

Also, the frame around the face of the scales is very ornated, unlike others we've seen by this maker.

The front of the scales reads: Columbia Family Scales; 24 pounds by ounces; WARRANTED; LANDERS, FRARY & CLARK; NEW BRITAIN.CONN.U.S.A.
