Rare, Vintage Stanley #57 One-Foot Boxwood Rule This is a small item you don't want to miss: A rare, vintage Stanley #57 One-Foot Boxwood Rule. It is an Arch Joint Bound Rule with the boxwood being bound with brass.

The rule unfolds from 3" to 12". One pin out of 3 original is missing. The wood shows wear & age & has one scratch. The brass is patinated & is in good condition.

The hinge is tight, not loose. The inch & 1/8" markings are clear on the outside though weathered. The inch & 1/16" markings are clear on the inside & are not weathered. This is a lovely pocket-sized & rare rule. The STANLEY is no longer visible, if it was ever there, but the No. 57 is clear on both sides. A great & rare addition to a Stanley collection or a rule or measure collection.

Vintage Stanley Box Wood Ruler No. 36 1/2- Very Good Condition Presenting a vintage Stanley No. 36 1/2 in very good condition for your review.

The ruler opens to 12inches & a brass caliper provides yet another facet of measurement from 0 - 5, to measure thickness of an item.

The wood is in excellent condition though on one side, it has a darkened area of approximately 2 inches running from 7 inches - 9 inches. The makers mark is clearly marked & visible on one side as follows: STANLEY No. 36 1/2R WARRANTED BOX WOOD.

The other side has MADE IN U.S.A. also clearly marked. The ruler is not warped, nicked, chipped, or cracked anywhere & the original pin is in it's place & fully functional. Thank you for stopping by The Treasure Chest.

Vintage K & E Slide Rule & Case An exceptional K & E slide rule with a hard leatherette case for your appraisal & appreciation.

The slide rule is beautifully preserved mahogany wood with off-white facial & both sides of the slide. (My photos just do not do it justice.) The core of the slide is also mahogany. The face of the rule is marked "KEUFFEL & ESSER CO. N. Y. PAT. 1.934.232 MADE IN U.S.A." The slide is marked "(4056)".

The backside of the rule contains Equivalents & Abbreviations & Settings. The backside of the slide is marked "806463".

The slide moves properly & the sliding window also moves properly without being loose.

The rule is in as excellent condition as could possibly be. The backside does have a 3/4" square patch of Scotch Tape with the name "HALL" written in red.

The slide rule fits it's case perfectly. The leatherette case has a faux moose leather pattern & has markings on the lid portion "K & E FAVORITE TRADE MARK SLIDE RULE 4056". The corners of the case show wear although the slide rule shows no wear.
