Vintage Ever-Art California Pottery Red Covered Dish This lovely Ever-Art California pottery covered dish is a wonderful little item with a decided oriental flair. With it's turned up corners on the lid & it's "Chinese" red color trimmed in gold it's an eye catching display item or begs a place on a table in your favorite room. It is in excellent condition with most of it's original Ever-Art label intact on the bottom of the dish. It measures 5 1/4" by 5 1/4" square & about 4 1/4" from it's base to it's gold finial. It is in very good condition with no chips or scratches. This is a favorite of mine & I hope this goes to a good home. (Item ID:Q-2)

Vintage Hull Pottery Vase- W8-71/2 A beautiful vintage Hull Pottery W-8-71/2" vase in the lovely Woodland pattern.

The vase measures 8" tall & is in excellent condition. The body of the vase is white with a lovely shading of blue around the top & a rustic green on the foot. The flower is a beautiful rose pink with springs of leaves.

This color is not often seen as the pink & yellow versions are more common. The vase is in excellent condition with none of the chips often seen on pottery items of this age. Vintage Crown Staffordshire Porcelain Cream & Sugar A lovely Crown Staffordshire bone china cream & sugar for your appreciation.

The pieces are in beautiful condition with no chips, crack or scratches. The only flaw appears to be in the firing & adding of the gold trim of the lip edge.

The creamer is approximately 2 1/2" tall. The sugar is 2 5/8" tall to the tip of the lid finial.

The transfer pattern is lovely red/pink roses & green leaf sprigs. The base of both pieces has the ornate crown symbol & reads: "FINE BONE CHINA CROWN Est. 1801 STAFFORDSHIRE England".

German Hand Painted Porcelain Double Serving Bowl A beautiful hand painted, artist signed double bowl with excellent gold trim on the edge & handle.

The bowl measures 12 1/2" in length, 10" wide & 4 1/2" high at the gold center handle. The piece is hand painted & artist signed by Marcia Hyde.

There is a green mark with "Bavaria Gerold Porzellan Made In Western Germany". It is artist signed "Hand Painted By Marcia Hyde 1973" in gold lettering.

The piece is in excellent condition & appears to be from a much older period & would make a wonderful addition to a table set for fine dining.

Hand Painted Rose Porcelain 10 A really fabulous 10" plate -- artist signed by Marcia Hyde, from Germany or Bavaria.

The is beautiful plate was purchased from a person's estate that collected porcelain from Germany & Bavaria. The pink & red roses with their sprigs of leaves are highlighted by a reticulated edge & a row of enameled coralene near the gold rim. The gold is in good condition.

The plate has 2 holes on the back for adding a string to display on the wall. It would also make a wonderful cabinet piece. There are no cracks, chips or scratches & I believe it has been used for display only.

Character Decanter - Sleeping Hunter - Ceramic Ceramic "Sleeping Hunter" Character Decanter -- This is a must have for the decanter collector. The figure is that of a hunter sitting on a stump, holding what appears to be an old flint lock rifle & sleeping.

The figure is very well executed & detailed with care. He is holding a large old fashioned pipe in his mouth & has a pouch for small game. He measures 8" tall.

The decanter is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The number: 5685 is stamped into the base. There are no other logos or marks. He ranks with the highly collectible Drioli decanters or better.

Rose Medallion Cup & Saucer - Antique This is a lovely famille rose medallion cup & saucer dating c. 1880 - 1920.

The cup measures approximately 3 7/8" in diameter & 2 1/8" tall. The saucer is 6" in diameter & 1 1/4" deep. The cup is marked: "China" in a rectangular box. The numbered tag is my inventory number -- I've had the item for over 45 years.

The saucer has 4 panels or "medallions" picturing birds, flowers, groups of people in various scenes. The cup has 3 scenic medallions & a gold circle with a bird & flowers. The handle is the familiar bamboo shaped oriental form.

Vintage J. Maddock & Sons Ltd. Stone Ware 16 3/4 A lovely John Maddock & Sons Ltd. stone ware 16 3/4" platter with lovely transfer pattern oriental-type trees, flowers & borders for your appreciation & study.

The pattern is a transfer patter with some hand painting on the flowers & leaves. It has the mark "John Maddock & Sons Ltd. Royal Vitreous England" & a "B" which is probably the artist. The "Ltd." was added after 1886 to the trade mark.

There is some minor wear to the transfer pattern & some fine crazing in the glaze, particularly on the bottom of the platter. There are no chips or cracks on this item. The platter measure 16 3/4" long by 12" wide. It would make an excellent display item as well as a useful platter for those special holidays & celebrations. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest. Tyndale & Mitchel, Co. Blue & White Floral Platter - Gold Trim This is a fantastic blue & white floral platter with gold trim on th edge. It appears to date pre-1921.

The platter measure 11 5/8" long & 9 3/4" wide. It has a scalloped edge with gold trim. The center of the platter has a large floral arrangement & is complimented by four florals on each end & sides.

The mark on the back of the platter is a blue & white mark which shows the item was made for "Tyndale & Mitchel, Co. 1237 Chestnut St., Philadelphia". There is an under enamel incised marks of "Brownfield" & "7/88" which is an English porcelain maker.

The item is mint with no chips, cracks or scratches. I have seen this pattern, but none in the excellent condition this is.

It would make a beautiful display item in your china cabinet or as part of your plate collection. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.

Art Pottery Cornucopia Vase - Vintage This "horn of plenty" art pottery is a lovely item, in very good condition.

The vase dates approximately to 1950s. There are no identifying marks but colors suggest Hull or one of the other major companies.

It measures 6" at it's tallest & 8 1/2" across from curl to lip of horn. Detailing & finish is very good.

Art Pottery Vintage '50's Vase This appears to be a one-of-a-kind art pottery vase dating from c. 1950's.

There is a good deal of textured matte glazing, with excellent design & brush work. The front of the vase has stylized flowers & leaves trailing across & up the vase.

There is a stamped name on the bottom that I can't clearly make out as the base is glazed also. The vase measures 11 3/8" tall, 7" at it's broadest base & 3 1/2" across the bottom.

METTLACH Stein #1796 - Antique METTLACH Stein - Cavalier Drinking .5L #1796 stein.

The stein is in excellent condition, with the inlaid lid, & solid Mettlach "5-ring" hinge. The bottom has the incised Mettlach castle mark & GEGEN NI.......
DUN; GESCHULTZT; a blue 10; the stein number 1796; with the number 94 to the left; & number 28 to the right. This mark was to have been used between 1885 - 1930.

The main figure is a drinking cavalier, hence it's name. Incised near the bottom of the handle is: C. WARTH, who joined the company as an artist around 1850 & went on to become director of the Mettlach art department.

It has a monkey in the left panel & a cat in the right pattern. The etched inlaid lid has a fish over knife, fork & plate. The stein is flawless with multicolored enameling. It is truly a prize.

Miniature or Doll-Size Porcelain Cup, Saucer & Holder - Lovely A very unusual porcelain doll-size or miniature cup & saucer with it's own plastic holder for display.

The saucer measures approximately 3 1/8" in diameter & the top of the cup is about 1 3/4" in diameter at it's widest.

The set has very good gold trim & printing, along with floral designs in gold. The plate reads: BLESS THIS HOUSE O LORD WE PRAY & MAKE IT SAFE BY NIGHT AND DAY".

The cup has: "BLESS OUR HOME" in gold on the side. There is no signature or label for country of origin. There are no chips or cracks.

Vintage Bone China Cream & Sugar - Royal Stuart - England A lovely small hand painted cream & sugar from Royal Stuart, Spencer Stevenson, England for your appreciation.

The creamer measures 3 1/4" tall at the handle & spout & the sugar is 3" tall to the top of the lid finial & it is 3" in diameter at the widest portion. The color is a soft cream & not yellow.

The bottom of both items is "HANDMADE HAND PAINTED Royal Stuart (A Crown) Spencer Stevenson England Bone China".

These items were purchased in England by Col. Davis & his wife during their travels throughout Europe.

There is a good deal of gold trim on rims, handles, finial & it is in very good condition & appears to have been displayed rather than used.

The handpainted design is a gold flower, sprigs of purple/blue smaller flowers & leaves, all in excellent condition.

19th Century Adams Calyx Ware Serving Platter A lovely Adams octagonal "Carolyn" pattern Calyx Ware serving platter for your inspection & approval.

The platter is an excellent size to add to your serving set or would be a lovely display item. It measure 12" long by 9 1/8" wide. The patter is hand painted with the exception of the pink scalloped border which I believe is transfer. The item is in very good condition, especially considering age. There are no chips & it has only a few tiny flakes in the burnt orange hand painted trim. It is marked on the back with: "CAROLYN Calyx Ware Hand Painted" in addition to the Adams trade mark with date of establishment & England.
