I-21

KPM Porcelain Serving Dish - Basket Type - 19th Century KPM, basket-type serviing dish - 19th century porcelain, with transfer, hand painting & gold detailing.

The piece is in excellent condition, especially considering it's age. It appears to have been used for mainly display purposes. There are no chips, cracks or scratches. It has lovely floral sprays in both transfer pattern & hand painting. The gold detailing is in excellent condition with little wear.

The piece measure 12" long, 9 1/8" wide & 4 1/2" to the top of the lovely ornate center handle. The mark is the 19th century green underglaze mark "KPM" with a mark above it. There is a series of numbers on the base in red "376" over a line & "761". There also appears to be an underglaze impressed mark which I cannot make out.

KPM stands for Krister Porcelain Manufactory Of Germany. They are known for their fine porcelain & are still in business, but in a different type of service pieces.

This is a lovely piece that makes a wonderful display piece but also is a fine piece that can be used with pride for fine dining. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.

QQ-05

Vintage Hand Painted Basket Bowl - Roses & Gold - This beautiful, hand painted bowl has beautiful roses, gold decorations, & reticulated designs.

The bowl measures 8 1/2" across at the reticulated handles, 8" in diameter across the bowl, & 1 3/4" high at the handles. It is in very good condition - there are no scratches, chips or cracks. The gold shows some wear on the bowl edge, as would be considered normal for an item of this age.

The base of the bowl is marked with blue "crossed arrows" & with the number "7449" under the mark. Kalk Porcelain Factory, Germany used this mark c. 1904 but Andacht cites it as a carry over from the Nippon era.

The bowl has lovely hand painted Bohemian-type roses with leaves & gold vines. The bowl is reticulated for added attraction & has flourishes of gold around the reticulations & on the handles. This is a truly lovely item.

This would be lovely gracing your table for fine dining or as a display piece. Thank you for shopping at The Treasure Chest.

UU-15

MINTON Rose Pattern Hand Painted Demitasses Set - 12 Cups/Saucers - Mint An absolutely elegant & beautiful Minton rose 12 cup & saucer demitasse set for your review & appreciation.

The set dates c. 1900 Minton mark with "England" under the mark. They all have artist signatures & impressed symbols with "Minton" stamped into the porcelain under the glaze.

The pattern is "Minton Rose" #A4801 -- the pattern number is handwritten is red on the photos of the Minton mark.

The quality of detail & quantity of the hand painted floral decorations are superior to sets made at a later date. The cups are almost egg shell thin & just under 2 1/4" tall & 2 1/4" in diameter at the lip. The saucers are approximately 2 3/8" in diameter with "Minton" & symbols stamped in the porcelain under the glaze.

The set is fabulous -- Garlands of hand painted flowers & leaves with an almost oriental look in the border around the cups & saucers. Even A peek inside one of the small cups will reveal a nosegay of flowers.

The set is from the collection of Col. Donald Davis, U. S. Army (Ret.). In addition to being a world traveler, Col. Davis was a child star in the old time movies under the famous director Mack Sennett.

There are no chips, cracks, nicks, discoloration or fading in the set - it is perfect. The pieces "ring" rather than giving off a flat tone when flicked wit the finger. Thank you for shopping at The Treasure Chest.

Lefton Porcelain Roadrunner Wall Plaque A beautiful Lefton bisque porcelain wall plaque of a roadrunner, hand painted in relief for your appreciation.

The plaque dates c. 1950's & measures 11 1/4 in. in length by 9 1/4 in. in width. It is in mint condition & beautifully rendered.

The piece has both the Lefton foil seal & the Lefton China - Hand Painted - Crown mark - as well as the number KW 4202, on the back of the plaque. These plaques are highly desired as collector as well as decorator items.

This is the state bird of New Mexico but we Arizonans who see this mischevious bird running on our porch & patio tend to think it's our own.

Add this lovely item to your home or give it as a gift to that special person. Thank you for stopping by The Treasure Chest.
