Antique Japanese Meiji Period Tokoname Vase
This antique Tokoname vase is far more detailed than most items you see with the low relief dragon in the cloud design. The vase measures 9 3/4" tall.
The item has Foo lions with ornate ball & rope as decorative handles & is artist signed on the bottom.
There is still some gold throughout the dragon & cloud design. There is an oval artist's mark on the bottom of the vase.

Oriental Blue & White Porcelain Charger - Fantastic!
A wonderful 12 1/2" oriental charger with scenes similar to the blue willow pieces, for your review.
This charger has a wonderful scene taking about 8" in diameter from the center & surrounded by 4 different sections, repeated around the plate.
The color is excellent & the condition is perfect with no chips, cracks or scratches. (Any yellow in the photos is reflected color.)We believe this dates post WW II & was purchased from an estate with a good deal of Chinese items dating from that time.
The scene has high peaked mountains, forests, rivers or lakes with boats, & people. This is truly a fantastic display piece & would fit nicely with any blue & white pieces. Thank you for shopping at The Treasure Chest.

Antique Oriental Ceramic Mid 19th Century Vase
Offered for your approval is this lovely ceramic oriental vase.
The vase is off-white, with applied enamel dark green branches, pale green leaves, squirrels & acorns & white beading over the original enamel.
It measures 10 3/4" tall & has heavy decoration of enamel on top rim of vase. The base has two applied enamel leaves in the center.
The green flecks on the base that appear in the photo are the remains of green felt that apparently once covered the base & I haven't tried to remove them.
We saw one similar in size & shape in a State-run antique shop when we traveled in China & the price was huge. I have also seen a photo of a similar vase in two oriental publications. All three were listed as c. 1850, as Chinese & as porcelain and/or pottery.
Explanations have been that this type of pottery has not kept pace w/the famille rose family in price. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.

Beautiful Oriental Brass Vase - Dragon In Cloud - High Relief
A really fantastic brass vase with the "Dragon In The Clouds" motif in high relief.
The vase was purchased at an estate sale where the former owner had lived in the Orient for a number of years & is not an export item.
The fierce dragon is the 3-toed variety & is really eye catching beauty. The vase measures approximately 6" tall & about 4 1/2" across at it's widest point. There are no marks but the vase is in very good condition.
This would make a lovely cabinet piece or as a wonderful decorative accent in your favorite room. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.
