It has a rolled collar & the base is polished smooth rather than with a polished pontil.

Vintage Murano Glass Somerso Vase - 8 5/8" A beautiful c. 1950 Murano glass red cased somerso vase attributed to Seguso, for your inspection. The vase measures approximately 8 5/8" tall & is approximately 2 1/2" across at it's widest point & 1" in diameter at the neck. The striking red is encased in clear -- a real beauty.Pieces like this are often attributed to Seguso. This is a wonderful display item or may be used with flowers in just the right room.

Vintage Murano Cased Glass 9" Vase c. 1950 This is a fabulous deep rose,amber & white glass cased in clear Murano vase.

The workmanship is perfect in the combinations of glass & the beautiful finish of the top & base worthy of the finest Murano craftsmen.

The vase dates c. 1950 & is in excellent condition with no chips or scratches. It measures 9" tall.

Murano Glass Amethyst Basket - Controlled Bubble - c. 1 This beautiful Murano glass basket ranges from pale to dark amethyst encased in clear with clear handle.

The basket portion has unusual-shaped controlled bubbles, somewhat triangular for the most part, throughout the glass body.

It measures 7 1/2" long, 6" high & 4 1/2" at it's widest point. It has all the earmarks of excellent Murano craftsmanship, including the polished glass pontil base.

Vintage Murano Glass Zanfirico Bowl - c. 1950 A beautiful small bowl by the expert glass artists of Murano in a zanfirico pattern, for you inspection.

The bowl measures 4 3/4" by 4 3/8" & is 1 1/2" tall. There are jade green stripes twisted with gold metallic streamers, & interspersed with white stripes & cased in clear.

Murano Mezza Filigrana 9" Vase c. 1950 This Murano vase is attributed to Venini & is similar in finish to other items of this type as seen in Pina's book: Fifties Glass. The vase dates c. 1950.

It is a pale transparent blue w/darker blue & orange/brown lines of color swirling through the vase. It measures 9 inches tall & has a polished base.

Vintage Ruby Red Murano Glass Swan - c. 1950 A beautiful ruby red Murano glass swan with a sprinkling of gold dust, for your enjoyment.

The swan measures 6 1/2" tall & approximately 8" from the tail feather to the gold dust sprinkled comb at the top of it's head.

The piece is finished with the care & dedication that Murano glass artists are known for with a polished base. There are no chips, cracks or scratches & only normal wear on base as would be expected on a piece of this age.

Murano Red Sommerso Teardrop-Shape Vase 10" This is a magnificent 10 inch red, encased in clear, asymmetrical teardrop-shaped vase -- it's breathtaking!

It is attributed to Seguso Vetri d'Arte as designed by Flavio Poli. It has no signature.

This gorgeous vase in in very good condition with no chips, scratches or cracks. Base wear is normal for an item of this age.
As in handmade glass items, there is one small bubble.

Murano Zanfirico Miniature Bowl This lovely miniature, tri-corner, zanfirico bowl measures about 3 1/2" wide at it's broadest point & 1" high. It dates c.1950. There are lovely rose pink strips alternating with clear glass & white latticino netting. There are no chips or scratches -- it is in excellent condition. Vintage Murano Bullicante Vase With Trailing - c. 1950 This Murano bullicante vase w/trailing is almost identical to the vase illustrated on page 88 & attributed to Seguso in the book "Fifties Glass" by Pina.

That description calls the color to be a very lovely mauve or light amethyst w/white around the stretched bubbles & with the casing & trailing in clear crystal. The book value is $500 on this item. The vase is 8 1/2" tall.

Attribution is Seguso whose glassworks has been in business in Murano since 1936. The book "An Illustrated Dictionary of Glass" states: The pieces are often free blown.....coloured glass, including an amethyst shade."
