This is a fabulous cobalt blue & hand painted gold 11 1/4" charger that is positively breathtaking & makes a fabulous display item.
The plate is in mint condition. There are a couple of minute fine scratches that show only on very close inspection. There are no chips or cracks. I believe the plate was not an export item as the printing concerning the gold & cobalt is in German.
The mark on the bottom reads: "Lindner Kueps Bavaria 118/28 ECHT Cobalt Arzgold = Handarbeit 488". I believe this particular mark was used from 1932. I purchased it from an estate of a woman who collected cobalt blue items & was a world traveler.
