Manufacturer: Japan A fantastic piece of Japanese stoneware in the form of this beautiful, classically finished 10" signed vase.
The piece is in pristine condition with no chips, cracks or nicks. It is from the collection of Col. Donald Davis, U. S. Army (Ret.), purchased during his residence in Japan following WW Ii. Col. The piece is a rich butterscotch in color with splashes of gold, darkening as it flows towards the chocolate base. The rim of the vase is unglazed. The circle inside the rim is glazed in brown with a stamped artist/kiln mark in white to one side.
