Davis was a child actor under the names of John Henry, Jr. & Don Morris for the late, great Mack Sennett. He states these are Austrian in origin.
The figures range from 3 5/8" to 4 1/8" tall & are wonderfully detailed, from pointed caps, cheery faces, flowing beards, & musical instruments. They are hand painted in minute detail. One plays a violin, another the concertina, & the third a drum.
This is a wonderful group & would make great conversation pieces or as additions to a collection of fine hand carved pieces. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest. (Item ID:ZZ-20-DD) |
