An unusual advertising match holder/toothpick, advertising ALITALIA, for your inspection & appreciation.
The match holder is approximately 2 3/8" tall & measures & 1 5/8" in diameter at the top.
The base has a circle of sandpaper to strike the match on. The sides are a replica of an ancient map of the South Atlantic Ocean & Indian Ocean with interesting notations about "serpents", etc. The name "ALITALIA" is on the lower left of the map on the front.

A small area of "gold" is off the lip & the back on the base shows some loss.
