It is in very good condition with no dents or deep scratches. The bowl of the spoon is gold-washed & with ornate engraved ST. JOHNS, MICH. lettering.
The back of the spoon stem is marked: Pat. 1899 R. W. (an elk head) & S Sterling. The S appears to have a line drawn diagonally through it.
