Manufacturer: Sumida Gawa, Japan I find Sumida Gawa fascinating because of the wide variety of shapes, glazes & & textures on each item & no two are identical.
This lovely "pilgrim's bottle" measures 9" tall & 7 1/2" at it's widest point. There are no chips or scratches.
The red matte glaze that is present on these items is about the only thing that wears away. These wares are often mistaken for Banko items but they are totally different.
This bottle has some red glaze worn off on the back lower part of it, but there are no chips, cracks or deep scratches, & it is very good condition.
I find no marks as after 1900 paper labels were used.

There are three children in high relief in oriental dress of that day, appearing to be playing & holding items. It's a very pleasant item. Check with us for a budget plan for items of this quality.
