This fantastic red-cut-to-white, "Peking" glass cameo vase has variations of depth & excellent detail indicative of the finest early Chinese cameo glass.
The vase has butterfly's flying over chrysanthemums with symbolic rocks & sea which are on items preferred by collectors of oriental art.
The lip & base of the vase are in red also. It measure 9" tall & 4" in diameter at is widest point. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or cracks. It was purchased from the estate of a woman who had lived & traveled in China in the early part of the 20th century & probably dates between the late 19th century & 1900.
