This is one of the most strikingly beautiful paperweights I have seen or owned. As an added bonus, it comes with it's original box & certificate.
It has the St. Louis date cane of 1975 & was issued as a commemorative edition of the boy king, Tutankhamun, that was much in the news as he is now.
There were only 150 of this particular color made with a 24 carat gold medal head of King Tut on an orange background that sets the weight on fire. It is much superior to those issued at the same time in an opaque turquoise ground.
It comes in it's original box & with it's original certificate of authenticity. The two numbered labels on the base are inventory stickers. This item is #38 of 150 made.
This St. Louis gold inclusion of King Tut has been encircled by delicate red & blue millefiori garland on an orange ground. The "boy king" is viewed through one large top & six side facets.
This is a "must have" for the sophisticated collector. My photos do not do it justice. Thank you for shopping at The Treasure Chest. (Item ID:MM-11) |
