This antique Bristol glass vase, at once elegant & classic, has been lovingly displayed & is a prize!Bristol glass was developed & patented in the 1700's in England & became famous for this type of glass, their cobalt blue glass & their cut glass.
This piece incorporates both the Bristol & the cut glass form. The carefully cut rim of the vase has it's gold almost intact. The bands of gold & rim trim are also in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or scratches.
This piece is has been lovingly cared for & probably dates c. 1880.
