A very nice, vintage cast iron Japanese Tetsubin water pot, pre-world war II.

An older, Tetsubin water pot, cast iron, in good condition. There appears to be no signature on this piece, unless it was on the center bottom of the pot & has worn.

The pot is approximately 8 1/4" tall & measures 8" across from the back of the pot to the tip of the spout. It has an interesting raised dot or hob nail pattern on the upper half, including the lid.

This slightly larger than any I've had before & the older ones were often larger than more recently fabricated pots. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest.
