Words cannot described this gorgeous Patterned oil lamp which dates c. 1900. The font glass, with it's ornate pattern & lovely color, is very similar to the famous C. R. Monroe Glass Co. items.
The lamp measure 9" from base to top of it's Queen Anne burner; 7" in diameter at the base; with an acid etched designed chimney of 10" tall; & an overall height of 16 3/4".
The lamp has no wick, but the Queen Anne burner works perfectly. The burner has QUEEN ANNE in raised letters & the burner wheel knob has Scovill Mfg. Co. Made In U.S.A.
The font glass appears to be a very pale custard & is beautifully patterned with raised, ornate flourishes, leaf-like ribs, & two transfer decorations of a fisherman on a lake with rural farm buildings in the background.
The lamp is in almost mint condition & has no chips, cracks or scratches. It is truly beautiful & a wonderful piece to add to an oil lamp collection or as a decorator item in your favorite room. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest. |
