A beautiful & unusual piece of hand made pottery from the Jemez Pueblo in New Mexico & signed by one of the famous Toya family of potters.
The vase measures approximately 5" tall & 5" in diameter. It has what appear to be lovely flower petal around the 1/4" opening in the top of the vase.
There is a good deal of hand painted Pueblo Indian decorations with subtle tonal changes. The signature on the base is: J. P. Toya Jemez.
This piece is in excellent condition & is truly unusual. It was purchased at an estate sale of a collector of lovely American Indian items of all types. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest. |
