A lovely vintage ornate sterling silver Lebanese bracelet purchased by Col. Don Davis, U. S. Army (Ret.) in 1949 during a trip through Lebanon & Egypt. Col. Davis was a child actor in the famous Max Sennett movies under the names Don Marion & John Henry, Jr.
The piece is extremely well done, very detailed with ornate-centered 3-petal flowers & other decorative touches. The pieces were blackened to add contrast to the delicate work.
The bracelet measures 6 3/4 inches long including the clasp, approximately 7/8 inch wide.
It is markedL Sterling below an Arabic word on the section nearest the clasp.
I will try to get more photos with contrasting background. This is truly unusual -- I have not been able to find pieces like this during internet searches. Thank you for visiting The Treasure Chest. |
