This is hand wrought mechanical (spring loaded) Lancet, Fleam or Bleeder with a single steel blade in a brass case. It is said that the use of a device like this led to the death of George Washington.
Condition: Working. Blade is somewhat corroded. The white patch in photo is our shop label. |
