This is the 2 quart (8 7/8 inches in dia.) casserole, bird design, in Pfaltzgraff's discontinued America line. This casserole and its sponge decorated lid are in excellent condition. No damage, it still retains its original gloss. Replacements sells this piece for $59.95.
The America Collection was inspired by authentic folk art designs from the Bird of Paradise appliqué quilt c. 1858-63, and commissioned under license from the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City.
