This 1880's salt glaze jar or crock is stenciled in cobalt "CHAS. H. TORSCH, BALTIMORE, MD." and is attrbuted to the A.P. Donaghho pottery of Parkersburg, WV who made it for the merchant Torsch. This is a 1 gallon size just over 10 inches high. Good condition, with only minor chipping inside the rim.
