Large BEVELED and ETCHED Hinged Dresser Box, JESSIE For sale is a large glass dresser box that has beveled edges and etching with the name of JESSIE on the top and dating to the 1930's. The box is not flimsy, it has good weight to it. The top has butterflies around the name Jessie, 3 sides have a spray of flowers etched and the fourth has no etching or beveling. The bottom has beveling. The box has a silk type beige mat on the bottom, possibly homemade but done some time ago. The box sits on four metal bun feet. I believe the metal to be plated with what looks like nickel. Some of the plating is wearing through due to age. The box measures approximately 9 1/2 inches long and had a width of approximately 7 1/4 inches and has a height of approximately 4 3/4 inches. The box is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs only some wear and oxidation to the metal trim. This item was purchased from a lady who said it was her aunts and she inherited it over 50 years ago. Shipping with insurance will be $18.00 in the Continental USA.
