Victorian REDFIELD & RICE Silverplate and Glass Spooner
For sale is a 2 piece spooner. The metal base (silverplate) is stamped on the bottom with Redfield & Rice New York. The glass insert has a cranberry lip that is cut, the cranberry color is not applied or flashed but in the glass. The spooner dates to approximately 1865 and is in excellent condition. There are areas where the silverplating is wearing through consistent with a piece this age. The glass insert is in fine condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The glass insert is the original to the base, it fits perfectly. The spooner stands approximately 7 inches tall and has a width from end of handle to end of handle of approximately 7 inches. Glass insert is approximately 5 1/2 inches tall and has an opening diameter of approximately 4 inches. Shipping with insurance in the Continental USA will be $16.00.
