Artist Signed PICKARD Poppy Bowl
For sale is a bowl decorated with poppies by the Pickard China Co. The bowl is marked on the bottom with "handpainted china Pickard" in a circle. There is also more marks in green along with the words "LOUISE" Bavaria. These extra marks are what I believe to be the by the company that made the blank porcelain bowl. I looked up the mark and it is a company called Marktredwitz (Germany, Bavaria). The bowl also has a wide gilt banding on the inside lip and a circle on the bottom of the bowl that is gilt. Bowl is signed by the artist WAGNER. The bowl has a diameter of approximately 9 1/2 inches and stands approximately 3 1/2 inches. Bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
