Offered is a pair of oval jasperware plaques. I believe the plaques to be made by Shafer & Vater and date to approximately 1900. Each plaque depicts a classically garbed woman attended by a cupid. The plaques are unusual in the fact that they have several colors to them. One plaque has a green background and the other has a slightly soft yellowish background. Each plaque measures approximately 7 1/2 inches by 6 inches. Each plaque has impressed numbers along with fractional written numbers. There are holes at the top of each with wire through them to hang. Both plaques are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Shipping with insurance will be $15.00 in the Continental USA. |
