For sale is a handsome cranberry enameled pickle castor with a silver plate frame dating to approximately 1900. The silver plate frame is marked on the underneath. The silver plate frame, tong and cover have wear to the plate, the base metal is starting to show in areas. This does not look bad but added for accuracy, it can be re-plated. The cranberry insert has a small rim chip (see photo) and some of the gilding has faded but otherwise is in fine condition. The insert fits the frame perfectly. The frame stands approximately 11 3/4 inches tall and the cranberry insert stands approximately 4 1/4 inches excluding the silver plate lid. Shipping with insurance will be $15.00 in the Continental USA. |
