For sale is a very nice art glass vase made by John Littleton and Kate Vogel called a Scarf vase and dating to 1980. This is a handmade piece and simulates the effect of a scarf turned into a vase. The effect of the scarf is attained by painting different colors in a checkerboard pattern on the glass and then layering another glass layer over the painting. The glass itself has a slight blue opaline color to it. The vase is signed on the edge near the bottom of the vase "John Littleton Kate Vogel 1980". The vase stands approximately 8 1/2 inches tall and the widest part (mid section of vase) is approximately 6 inches. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
