Offered for sale is a European Brooch dating to approximately 1890. I believe it to be Austrian. There is a 800 silver hallmark. There is also another hallmark that has a number 3 and a figure which I can't make out, plus with what appears to be an AB. Both marks are on the back of the bail. It is gilt silver or Vermeil. The piece measures approximately 2 1/2 inches from top of the bail to the bottom and approximately 1 1/2 inches wide. There are four stones, which appear to be synthetic rubies. The ivory miniature inside the frame is of Josephine. It is indistinctly signed ?"Yulter". The ivory is covered by glass. The ivory itself, measures approximately 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/4 inches. It is a very attractive piece of antique jewelry that anyone would be proud to own and wear. Shipping with insurance will be $7.00 in the Continental USA. |
