There were two different covers for this issue, this one, which is extremely rare, and one with the Apollo astronauts Gus Grissom, Ed White, and Roger Chaffee talking over their flight plan, with lead story on death of three astronauts in burning capsule. The other content is the same. The title story is "Lair of modern pirates - chiselers, gamblers and Mafia racketeers - The Beautiful But Corrupt Bahamas, An Expose". It is in very good condition and comes in a protective plastic sleeve.

Metropolitan Cookbooks, 1953, 1957, Vintage Fun! This is a pair of Metropolitan cookbooks, distributed by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. One is from 1953, the other from 1957. They are in good condition , particularly the black 1953 one which is almost like new. They have whimsical illustrations throughout and a variety of recipes from sauces, breads, soups, various meats, to desserts, cookies, cakes, pudding and more. 56 pages, measures 7 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches.

The newspaper is intact and in fairly good condition, somewhat frail and colored with age. The creased edge has some cracks in it but it is not falling apart. This is a nice piece of memorabilia for retired federal workers or historians.
