Bedlington Terrier dog original 1952 German card. This very pretty single original card,(on thin paper),was issued in Germany by the Austria Tobacco Co. in 1952 and is from a set of 150 cards entitled "Kamerad Hund" "(Our Friend the Dog)". A special album was available at the time for these cards to be stuck into for display and unusually for these this card has not been stuck into an album at all. The front of the card shows an artist drawn picture and the back has a brief description of the breed in German. It measures 4.5 inches by 3.5 inches approx and is in very good condition. Bedlington Terrier dog year 2000 label/stamp. This very pretty label/stamp was issued for East Timor in the year 2000,(even though it looks like a postage stamp,in that it has perforations,gum on the reverse etc),it is probably not one in that it was never designed to perform a postal duty.It also has a cancellation mark on it that was very probably applied at the printers.It measures 1 inch by 2 inches approx and is in very good condition. Bedlington Terrier original single playing card. This very pretty single playing card was recently issued in China. This single playing card measures 4.75 inches by 3.5 inches approx. It is in very good condition although it does have some small areas of surface disturbance which can mainly be seen when the card is held at angle to the light....please see the scan. The image and the text are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.

This single playing card was issued in England in 1997 by Heritage Toy Ltd and was part of their playing card set entitled "The Famous Dogs of the World".It was illustrated by John Denaro.It measures 3.5 inches by 2.25 inches approx.It is in very good condition.The text and the image are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.

This very nice single card was issued in England in 1961 by Hornimans Tea and is part of their 48 card series entitled "Dogs".It has printed text on the reverse relating to the breed.It measures 2.75 inches by 1.5 inches approx and is in very good condition.The printed text on the reverse of this card reads as follows....."Named after the mining district in Northumberland, originally the friend of miners and gypsies, of the latter probably because, being fast enough to catch a rabbit and Terrier enough to kill it, he makes a good poacher! A mixture of Whippet and local Terrier. A graceful, muscular dog with pear-shaped head and distinctive greyhound-like body. This very pretty unusual single original card was issued in 1936 in the UK by Hignetts and comes from a set entitled "Dogs".This single card has printed text on the reverse relating to the breed pictured.It measures 2.75 inches by 1.5 inches approx and is in very good condition,(it is difficult to find in this condition).The image and text are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.The printed text on the reverse of this card reads as follows....."The Bedlington was first bred by the pitmen about Bedlington on Tyneside, who probably used Whippets and the Dandie Dinmont to give them a game, active dog for ratting and rabbit catching. It is thought that a Northumbrian sportsman, Piper Allan, who died in 1774, helped to make the breed, and that Joseph Ainsley first gave it its present name in 1825. Although now widely known as a show dog, it is still used for its original purpose, particularly on Tyneside, and no more sporting breed exists." This very pretty label/stamp was issued for Karakalpakia in the year 1998.Even though it looks like a postage stamp,with gum on the reverse we do not believe it was designed to perform a postal function.It is 1.5 inches by 1.25 inches approx.It is in very good condition. Bedlington Terrier dog original unusual 1930's card. This very pretty original hard to find trade card was issued in Europe in the 1930’s.The image was used by a few different firms. This card was meant to be stuck into an album which was available at the time,this card may have been so stuck but if so was very expertly removed with only a small area of residual glue/roughness on the reverse.It has printed text in Dutch on the reverse. It measures 3.25 inches by 2 inches approx. It is in very good condition although it does show some blueness on the front of the card from the logo on the reverse and does not lie totally flat.......please see the scan.The image and the lettering are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.  

Bedlington Terrier original 1939 photographic UK card. This very pretty single original photographic card was issued in 1939 in the UK for Senior Service cigarettes by the firm Pattreiouex Ltd.It is from a 48 card series entitled "Dogs".It has printed text on the reverse giving brief details re the breed and some more general hints re rearing etc of dogs.It measures 3 inches by 2 inches approx.It is in very good condition but as is normal for these there is a degree of disturbance,(light lines etc) on the surface of the photographic gloss which can be seen when the card is held at an angle to the light.The image and the text are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.  

Bedlington Terrier unusual unissued UK 1950's card. This very pretty card depicting a Bedlington Terrier was produced but not put into packets of cigarettes around the 1955 period due to the imposition of a tax on packets containing cards.The paper the card was produced on has an onion skin type finish.This card is taken from a series of 50 card entitled "Dog's Heads" by John Player and Sons of the United Kingdom.The illustrations are from drawings by Peter Biegel.There is printed text on the reverse relating to the breed.The card measures 2.75 inches by 1.5 inches approx.The image and the text are a little clearer than the scans shows them to be.It is in very good condition.The printed text on the reverse of this card reads as follows....."A dog similar to the Bedlington Terrier (which takes its title from a village of that name in Northumberland) was familiar to the Scottish border country some time before the breed was so named in 1825. There is much controversy as to the actual origin of the Bedlington, but knowledgeable opinion leans to the theory that "Rothers"- terriers kept by Rothbury Forest gipsies-were deeply involved . The Bedlington of today differs considerably in appearance and demeanour from the original Bedlington, which had excellent sporting characteristics. It has a woolly lamb- like coat, which may be whole coloured blue, liver or sandy, or these colours combined with tan." This very pretty single playing card was recently produced in the last few years........any roughness at the edge of the card is a product of the scanner and is not on the card itself.It is 5 inches tall and 2.25 inches approx at its widest.It is in very good condition.....the actual image is a little clearer than the scans shows it to be.  

Bedlington Terrier v.nice single 1988 UK trade card. This very pretty original single trade card was issued in the United Kingdom in 1988 as part of a set of cards entitled "Dogs" "1st series".Printed text on the reverse relates to the issuer which was "Cofton Collections".It measures 2.75 inches by 1.5 inches approx.It is in very good condition although it does have a small black printing spot in front of the dog.....the actual image on the card is a little clearer than the scan shows it to be.

This very pretty original postcard has not been postally used and was issued in Germany around the 1980 period we believe.It measures 5.75 inches by 4 inches approx.It is in very good condition although it does have some light corner knocking and the back is a little grubby ...please see the scan.The image is a little clearer than the scan shows it to be.

Bedlington Terrier named trio 1957 Dutch postcard. This very pretty original postcard of a trio of Bedlington Terriers was postally used in Holland in 1957 but has had the stamp removed.The dogs are named as Monkey,Peter and Eros.The postcard measures 5.5 inches by 3.5 inches approx.It is in good to very good condition....it has pressure marks at each corner from when it was corner mounted,there are some areas of surface emulsion dulling and a small blue mark in the top margin.....please see the scan.The image is a little clearer than the scan shows it to be  

Bedlington Terrier v.pretty single European game card. This unusual and very nice card, showing a Bedlington Terrier, very probably comes from a card game issued in Europe in the 1980's. The card measures 3.5 inches by 2.25 inches approx. The reverse of the card has cartoon like drawings of the head of different animals. The printed text is perfectly readable on the actual card itself.The card is in very good condition.
