Dalmatian dog hunting 1952 original German card. This very pretty single original card,(on thin paper),was issued in Germany by the Austria Tobacco Co. in 1952 and is from a set of 150 cards entitled "Kamerad Hund" "(Our Friend the Dog)". A special album was available at the time for these cards to be stuck into for display and unusually for these this card has not been stuck into an album at all.This card is from the first grouping of 25 cards and is more difficult to find than others in this series. The front of the card shows an artist drawn picture and the back has a brief description of the breed in German. It measures 4.5 inches by 3.5 inches approx and is in very good condition. It is in very good condition although it does have a small area of surface disturbance and some printing offset above the dog....please see the scan. This very pretty label/stamp was issued for the Republic of Benin in 2002.It has gum on the reverse leading us to believe that it has not performed a postal function.It is 2 inches by 1.5 inches approx.It is in very good condition. This single playing card was issued in England in 1997 by Heritage Toy Ltd and was part of their playing card set entitled "The Famous Dogs of the World".It was illustrated by John Denaro.It measures 3.5 inches by 2.25 inches approx.It is in very good condition.The text and the image are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.

This very nice single card is taken from a set issued by the AKC,(American Kennel Club) in 2004.It has printed text on the front that states the country of origin and the group that the dog belongs to ie....Terriers,Toys etc.It measures 3 inches by 4.5 inches.It is in very good condition.The back of the card has the AKC logo printed on it.The text and the image are clearer/sharper than the scan shows them to be.

This very nice single card was issued in England in 1961 by Hornimans Tea and is part of their 48 card series entitled "Dogs".It has printed text on the reverse relating to the breed.It measures 2.75 inches by 1.5 inches approx and is in very good condition.The printed text on the reverse of this card reads as follows....."Originally from Dalmatia, but flowered in England with horse and carriage. He loves the stables and was to be seen following coaches, sometimes preceding them and occasionally trotting under the pole between the leaders and the wheelers.Spots are important and should be either black or liver on white. They should not intermingle and be in size from a 6d. to a 2/- piece, smaller on head, ears and extremities." This unusual European card was issued in the 1960's as part of a 80 card series.It does not have text on the reverse relating to the breed apart from the dog breed in 2 or 3 languages.It measures 2.75 inches by 2 inches approx and is in very good condition.The image is a little clearer than the scan shows it to be.

This very pretty unusual single original card was issued in 1936 in the UK by Hignetts and comes from a set entitled "Dogs".This single card has printed text on the reverse relating to the breed pictured.It measures 2.75 inches by 1.5 inches approx and is in very good condition although it does have v.small mark in the bottom margin.The image and text are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.The printed text on the reverse of this card reads as follows....."Although never used as anything but a carriage dog and show specimen in Great Britain, the Dalmatian is fairly widely used on the Continent as we use Pointers. As a show dog it is very popular. In spite of its name, there is not evidence to prove that the breed originated in Dalmatia, and no exact data of its origin are available. The spot markings should be either wholly black or liver, and distinct as possible on a pearly-white ground. The markings do not appear until the puppies are about three months old." This card was meant to be stuck into an album which was available at the time but this card is unusual in that it has never been so used.....it has printed text in Dutch on the reverse. It measures 3.25 inches by 2 inches approx. It is in very good condition.The image and the lettering are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.

This very pretty single original photographic card was issued in 1939 in the UK for Senior Service cigarettes by the firm Pattreiouex Ltd.It is from a 48 card series entitled "Dogs".It has printed text on the reverse giving brief details re the breed and some more general hints re rearing etc of dogs.It measures 3 inches by 2 inches approx.It is in very good condition but as is normal for these there is a degree of disturbance,(light lines etc) on the surface of the photographic gloss which can be seen when the card is held at an angle to the light.....also this particular card has a mark in the right margin and its surface disturbance is a little more pronounced than normal.........please see the scan.The image and the text are a little clearer than the scan shows them to be.

This very pretty thin paper single original card/sticker was issued by Service Line in Italy in the early 1990's as part of their set of cards entitled "Dogs and Cats".It has a peel off paper back which leaves adhesive on the card for it to be stuck into an album which was available at the time.This card/sticker has never been in an album and the backing paper is still attached.It measures 2.75 inches by 2 inches approx and is in very good condition.The image is a little clearer than the scan shows it to be.

Dalmatian UK unusual transparency. Blue Cap Cheese issued this Dalmatian transparency,(which is similar to an unmounted film slide),in the UK in 1952.It was given free with purchases.It is 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches approx.The image and the text are a little clearer/sharper than the scan shows them to be.It is not an easy or common item to find.It is in very good condition....as is normal with these the solid blue border has some light scratching.
