| This is a splendid modern work of art by well listed Japanese artist, Eiichi Shibuya. The signature, edition number, and title is hand-signed in pencil by the artist, below the plate mark. This limited edition etching is 14/50. It is titled, "The Clown’s Daughter". This highly imaginative and delightful work of art is quite intriguing with fascinating shapes, swirling energy, and bright, vivid colors. The etching is in excellent original condition. The matting is also original and in excellent condition. The mahogany wood frame is also original to the piece. The original finish retains a nice, old patina. The original wood backing offers a wealth of information about the artist. It also retains two original labels from Fran-Nell Gallery of Art in Tokyo, Japan. The original plexiglasss has a couple very minor scratches. Circa 1960’s. |
