Chalkware Keystone Cop Pretzel Holder Very unusual chalkware piece is actually used to serve pretzels ! This Keystone Cop figure has the original stick that is inserted in the "Cop's" belt. Pretzels hang on the stick through the rings. Chalkware figures were usually won as prizes at carnivals in the 1920s and 1930s. This one is also functional making it especially fun. Quite a conversation starter at parties. The words Cop a Pretzel is imprinted on the base. Keystone Cops was always spelled with a C prior to the 1950s.
It is in great shape with minor chipping of the paint but all in all a great chalkware example. The Cop is 10 1/2 inches tall and 16 inches overall when the pretzel stick is inserted in his hands. The base is 4 1/2 inches wide.
