5 cent Christmas stamp on a vintage 1967 envelope postmarked from the town of Bethlehem, GA. The envelope has a lovely inscription of the beloved carol " O Little Town of Bethlehem" and a verse from that hymn.
Well preserved stamp inscribed 'Memling National Gallery of Art. It and the envelope are in mint condition.
Remarkably, the postmark date of the envelope also happens to be the birth date of late actress Rebecca Schaeffer, who was born on Nov. 6, 1967. She co-starred with Pam Dawber in the 1980's tv sit-com, "My Sister Sam". No relation to the collectible item listed here, other than the postmark date coinciding with her birthday.
