Porcelain bird figure gilt. handpainted This majestic bird measures 16 1/2 inches (41.91 cm) high by 6 1/2 inches (16.51 cm) long at the base by 3 1/2 inches (9.53 cm) wide at the base.

This plaque depicts a Scene from the Castle-Park of Sanssouci about 1750 to 1760. Circa 1890's. Possibly Dresden Meissen.

" The pastoral plays, performed in the castle-parks of the Rococo, were a favourite amusement for grandes Dames and Cavaliers. They were cultivated with spirit and charm and were part of the abundance of the Rococo and of the Happy Century."
