CRONIN CHINA blue Tulip Water pitcher USA Vintage Cronin Blue Tulip Water Jug/ Pitcher, 40 oz. SLANTSIDE with Ice Lip, from Cronin China Company, Minerva, Ohio.. c:1950's. Here is a cool pitcher with incised USA mark on bottom. The pattern and color matches the DRU Holland Cast Iron Cookware also made in the 1950's & earlier. This pitcher was made by the Cronin China Co. There is a whole dinnerware line of this too. This pitcher has no chips or cracks; a couple of pin head size glaze pops. It is 7.5" inches tall, 8.5" wide
In excellent condition, there are no chips, cracks, or crazing.

The water pitcher is marked with a raised USA on the underside, but the distinctive tulip pattern, front and back, identifies it as Cronin.

Cronin began operation in New Cumberland, WV, ca. 1928. The company moved to Minerva, Ohio, in 1934 and maintained production until they closed in 1956.
A very nice piece to add to a Tulip or Pitcher Collection, this will be a beautiful accent for your kitchen or dining room.

CRONIN CHINA CO. DARK BLUE TULIP TEA POT It is 5" tall and made by the Cronin China Company Minerva, Ohio which began operation in 1928 in West Virginia. In 1937 it bought the Owens China Company in Minerva and operated there until it closed in 1956. I believe this design was made for either A&P or Grand Union but am not sure which grocery store.
