Full color postcard showing North Nottawa Street in Sturgis, Michigan. It is a dirt street and the postcard is dated 1907. Look at the power poles and all of the insulators. We were getting ready for electricity to come to the entire community of Sturgis. At this point in time all we had was a small coal fired generator and it was operated at dusk for two to three hours a night.
