Vintage Rare Butterscotch Bakelite Carved Buckle Set
Gorgeous deeply carved set of two 1 1/8 inch octagonal shaped butterscotch buckles that attach together to form a buckle about 2 1/4 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. The bakelite part is 1/4 inch deep and carved with rays coming out of a center depression. The buckle attachments for attaching the belt are still attached. One of the metal parts that attach the two pieces together is partially corroded while the other is in fine conditon. It is a beautiful rich light buttterscotch color. I was surprised to find such a beautiful item in such fine condition considering its age.
