Franklin Mint Teddy Bear Bride and Groom 18 Inch
Edwina and Winston are the perfect gift for a bride and groom that collect Teddy bears! Edwina is the first ever re-creation of the prized 1903 Teddy Girl with an elaborate wedding dress. What a wedding dress! It is custom-designed and meticulously tailored, trimmed with delicately scalloped lace and faux pearls. She even has a tiara of tiny pink and white blossoms that crowns an embroidered lace veil. She has a small rhinestone for an engagement ring in her paw! Winston, the groom, is also copied from the collection of Lt. Col. T. R. Henderson. What a sharp looking bridegroom in a swallow-tail morning coat, striped pants, wing collar, black and white ascot and a pink rose in his lapel. He has his original tag. They are from the late 1980's. I picked these up at an estate sale from a collector who had these on display. They are in very good condition but do need a good cleaning and pressing. Each one originally retailed for $145.00!
