Virginia Slims Advertising Needle Pack 60's W. Germany
You've come a long way, baby. Remember that advertisement slogan? The other side with comic Keystone cops says It used to be that men had the problem of women's rights all sewed up. Inside includes 4 needles: upholstery sailmakers and packing. It is 3 1/2 inch square. Each of the three available needle cases have a wax envelope marked WEST GERMANY. The wax envelope has $.10 written on it in ink and shows some wear.

Bowman Milk Needle Book
If you collect needle packets or advertising, this is an interesting packet. It is about 5 1/4 by 3 3/8 inches in size. The packet has 50 GOLD NEEDLES & THREADER - JAPAN printed on the back cover. Not all the needles are present, roughly about half. The threader is also missing. The packet does have a tear at the bottom, roughly a quarter of an inch long.

Vintage felt Needle case / holder
If you collect needle holders this is a unique item. I haven't seen one like this before. Green and red felt needle holder or case, possibly handmade or stitched. It has three flaps, two green, one red. It does have a number written in yellow ink or marker on the red middle flap--no 8716. It is 5 7/8 inches in length. The stitches are in yellow thread.

Vintage Sun Bonnet Blue Felt Needle case
I found this one buried in a very old sewing basket at the very bottom. The pattern is from the 1900's and is known as the Sunbonnet Sue pattern. It is 4 1/4 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches from the one edge of her lace skirt trim to the other edge of her lace skirt trim. She still has 5 needles that she is keeping safe for her next owner. There is very light soiling due to age and use. A white spot is on the front of her bonnet which is possibly white ink. It would be a cute one to add to a collection.

Vintage Yellow Sunbonnet Sue Felt Needle holder
What a sewing project this must have been for a young girl back in the 1920's or 30's. The pattern of the Sun bonnet Sue is from the 1900's. This one is a bright yellow with pink and blue accents. She is 4 3/4 inch tall from the tip of her bonnet to her toes and 2 7/8 inch wide at her skirt. There is light soiling due to use and age. She is keeping 7 needles safe for the new owner. If you collect old sewing items or sun bonnet sues or babies this is a nicely hand decorated one to add to your collection.
