1517

Vintage 1960's United Gold Baroque Wall Clock This beautiful clock has been converted to a modern battery operated clock to eliminate the unsightly electrical cord hanging down the wall. The photos speak for themselves on this attractive clock.

There is an opening in the rear of the clock to change the battery and change the time during daylight savings changes. This without question is a clock of great taste in the right decor. Everything is working properly on this clock.

The clock was made by the United Clock Company of New York and is a model #84. There are a couple scratches and dings on the dial but reasonable considering the 40 years of wear and tear. It actually adds to the clocks character as the dial is done in antique-type colors.

The clock measures 14.5 inches tall by 9 inches wide and 3 inches deep.

Vintage Western Rope Wall Clock & Barometer Set Looking for an interesting clock with a little flare? This clock fits several decor scenarios. It is a little bit western, a little bit of several other styles. It is an attractively simple clock with a matching weather barometer.

The clock has been converted to a battery operated clock so it doesn't use an electrical cord down the wall nor does it have to be wound with a key every week. The time can be reset and the battery can be changed by pulling off the squeeze fit rear cover. The front glass bezel opens so you can actually move the minute hand from the front to change the time if you desire.

Everything is working as it should on the clock and it is ready for your enjoyment. The barometer appears to work well and is of the same hanging rope style for a great wall presentation.

This clock measures 19 inches tall (to the top of the hanger while mounted on the wall) by 8.5 inches wide (total dial diameter) and 1.25 inches deep. The barometer case measures 7 inches tall by 7 inches wide with a 5 inch dial.

You get both pieces for one price. They are sold as a set.

2036

Vintage Phinney-Walker Brown Leather Travel Clock This travel clock is a unique find. It has hardly been used at all and probably spent most of its life in a box stuffed away in a drawer. It is in pristine condition and everything works wonderfully.

Phinney-Walker was a high quality clockmaker--top of the line when it comes to wall clocks and travel clocks. This clock is covered in a brown leather with its natural embossed pattern which I don't recognize. The case has no scratches or tears in the leather and it is as sound and durable as the day it was made. The lens is clear and clean.

It is not often I come across new old-stock like this travel clock and when I do I always pick them up for my customers. Help yourself to this wonderful gem.

This travel clock measures 4 inches tall by 4 inches wide and 4 inches deep when in the open position. When closed, the case measures 1.25 inches tall by 4 inches square.

Note: This clock is not an alarm clock. It is only a good timekeeping clock.

1896

1940's United Pot Belly Stove Clock Model 465 This is a very rare clock and it has been restored and serviced. Everything is working as it should. The realistic fire glows in the hearth of the stove via a rotating colored drum that spins around inside the stove causing wonderful flame reflections that appear to be leaping upward caused by a small 7 watt light reflecting on the colored drum.

You can stop the rotation of the colorful drum or you can switch the light off and on from the back of the clock. In a darkened room, this clock is simply awesome to watch with its ember glow of the stove pipe high on the stove and the colorful flames roaring in the hearth of the stove. What a rare piece this clock is.

The clock has a smooth flowing sweep second hand which is most unusual. It probably was made in the late 1950's according to the style of the clock movement inside. It requires a 'D' battery to run (large flashlight battery).

2135

1961 United Large Gold Pocket Watch Wall Clock This is indeed the original model of the famous pocket watch wall clock. There were lots of companies duplicating the effort with cheap and plastic substitutions, but this beautiful piece done by the United Clock Company of Brooklyn, New York is the original classic.

It is made of solid brass plated metal and the large front crystal is heavy GLASS. The roman numeral dial is painted metal, not a paper dial like the reproductions are. The back of this clock is brass. The chain is also brass plated. The watch crown where the chain comes out of is also metal, not plastic. This #40 model clock made by United is the only original all metal pocket watch wall clock model I have ever seen.

This clock has been converted to battery as the old electric motor gave up and it was also nice to get rid of the electrical cord running down the wall. The battery will operate the clock reliably without any intervention from you except to change the battery one per year. There is an opening in the back of the clock to accommodate battery replacement.

The surface condition is good with some wear spots and tarnish marks but still in acceptable condition for a clock over 45 years old. There is a date signature stamped in ink on the inside of the clock dating it to February, 1961.

Everything is working properly on this clock as described and it is keeping accurate time. It is quite impressive to hang on a rec room wall as you can read the time from a good distance away. It would also be good for a business store. A real piece of nostalgia for sure.

This clock measures about 17 inches tall by 13.5 inches wide (across) and 2 inches deep.

1220

Vintage Walnut Wuersch Brand Steeple Clock This clock is a solid wood clock. The movement is signed as being made in Germany and is a one jewel movement which is rather rare for this type of movement.

The clock runs well and the movement has a speed adjustment on it so it can be tweaked if it runs fast or slow at your house.

The colorful drawing on the bottom half of the clock front is really unique. I did the best I could to get a good photo, but the actual drawing looks much better. It is inset behind the glass about 1/2 inch and gives an illusion of peeking through a keyhole at a whole different place and time.

This clock measures 15 inches tall by 8 inches wide and 4 inches deep.

2167

Vintage 1950's Haddon Special Vision Mystery Clock Here is a very popular clock from the 1950's. This clock has been beautifully reconditioned, serviced and is ready for your use and enjoyment.

This is rare clock made by the Haddon Clock Co. Its 7 3/4 inch dial has numerals that are etched into the dial and then gold filled from the back of the dial. This is one of those 1950 Mystery clocks with the hands that seemingly are floating in space. The glass is in great condition except for a small crack about 1 inch long near the center of the glass. This crack does not appear to be creeping at all and appears to have been there for a very long time. The motor is running quietly and keeping good time.

This clock is all original and it has a nightlight in the base of the clock that shines through a hole and up through the glass in the dark. The electrical cord in really great shape.

The gold plate is in great show-room condition just like it was in the jewelry shops 50 years ago when this clock sold for over $200 in today's money.

Here is a great opportunity to get a vintage 50-year old clock in nearly pristine condition. This is a collector clock as this particular unit is the first I have seen in person. The hands of the clock can only be moved forward (clockwise) and not backwards.

These mystery clocks are a great conversation piece and attractive at the same time. What is the mystery? The hands of the clock appear to be suspended in open space with no connections and in a sense they really are. They are mounted through a hole in the center of the clear glass. The entire glass rotates moving the minute hand with it and the hour hand is geared to proportionately do its thing without any connections to the base of the clock. This clock was well designed and has stood the test of time--both in popularity and service. Now you know the mystery. Here is your chance to baffle other visitors at your house.

Collectible Westclox S7-J Alarm Clock This great clock is from 1953 called the GLO-LARM. It has a small light in it that glowed from one side of the dial. The light in this clock is beyond repair but the clock works GREAT and the alarm functions nicely.

Here is a chance to get a collectible clock at a bargain price. The book price on this clock is $60, but because of the light failure, I have discounted it heavily.
