3055

1940 Airline Model 04WG-668 Portable AM Radio This radio has been totally repaired and is functioning great! The electronics have been serviced, the light replaced in the dial, the cloth replaced on the speaker front and a new electrical cord has been installed.

You will really enjoy the old times with this collector item. It picks up lots of stations with its built-in antenna inside the back cover. The electrical cord wraps around a circle mount inside the rear cover. This portable unit also worked with special batteries (hard to find these days), and the battery plugs are intact and the AC/Battery switch on the back of the electronics is working.

This is the old style tube type radio. You have to let the tubes warm up for about 15 to 20 seconds before the radio comes alive. The front cover has a latch like a brief case and when folded up and latched, the unit looks a lot like an old suitcase. The exterior of the radio is in excellent condition as shown in the photos.

This Airline brand Model 04WG-668 was made for Montgomery Wards as Airline was their radio brand name. This radio comes with a printout of the electrical schematics of all the electronic parts so if it should ever need repair, you can give the repairman the schematics for easy problem resolution.

This radio is unique in that the AM dial is backwards with the small numbered station being on the right and the large number station (1600) being on the left. This radio was made before the standardization practices for dial presentation became reality. What a find!

This radio measures approximately 11 inches tall (including handle) by 14 inches wide and 7.5 inches deep.

3076

1960 Portable Channel Master Model 6520 Radio This battery operated radio is an AM radio only and has the best sound you can imagine for a portable radio. It is a powerful radio with the ability to pick up fringe AM stations.

It is called the Channel Master 8 Transistor Cordless radio and this particular unit appears to be brand new or at minimum has very little use.

It takes 4 batteries of the size D (flashlight batteries) and they last a very long time. I have played the radio for days and still have good operation.

The styling and colors of this machine is retro 1960's for sure. It has a rich tone and a tone switch for treble or bass.

3081

Nostalgic 1951 Bakelite Tube Radio by Music Aire Musicaire was the radios made for, and sold by, Coast to Coast stores in the 1950's and 60's. I found this gem in a near prefect condition with no cracks or chips to the bakelite case and the original knobs and dial glass are still in place.

There are a few white paint spatters here and there which was common in those days as folks forgot to move the radio before painting the kitchen.

This radio has been gone over and tested thoroughly and it works wonderfully. Any parts that needed replacing have been replaced. These tube radios are most nostalgic as one had to wait a few seconds for the tubes to warm up and glow before the radio would play.

This radio has an external hookup in addition to an internal antenna if you care to use it to get those far away stations. However, for normal distances this radio does fine without any external hookup.

I found a copy of the original schematic for the electrical wiring for this radio which is a Model 5015 from 1951. Those papers will come with your radio so you have permanent record for your radio repairman should any problems occur.

1955 Zenith Green Bakelite Clock Radio Model L520F What a great find this radio is. It has been serviced and is working wonderfully. It has a good clear sound and has the famous Telechron electric alarm clock that will wake you up to radio music every morning should you so desire.

The left knob is the volume control and the right knob is the AM station selector (there were no FM public stations in 1955).

On the back is a built-in antenna. It will bring in the distant stations much better.

What is unusual about this model radio is that the plastic lenses cover the clock and the dial are in perfect condition. Most times these are cloudy, cracked or distorted but they are beautiful on this radio so it must have not spent much time in the sunshine or by a window.

I have located the original electric diagram schematics and other information for this wonderful radio and they are including in the purchase with this clock radio. This will verify its age and date of mfr while at the same time provide a repair map for the electronics should you ever need a repair person to fix something.

Superb 1952 Philco Table Radio Mod 48-482 Wow! Can you believe the condition of this 1950 Philco radio? This was a fun find and the radio reeks with quality inside and out.

This radio has been completely gone over and serviced. It is working like the day it came out. It has 3 bands on the dial---AM Broadcast, Police Band and a Short Wave Band. The AM works wonderfully and is bringing in good reception. The Police band requires a special antenna so I cannot tell if it is working correctly or not. The Short Wave requires an additional antenna strength also but I can hear some stations faintly.

The AM Band brings in wonderful sound, the type from yesteryear which was a robust clear sound of a high quality receiver. The deep wood case also gives the radio a rich sound.

The rear of the radio shows an internal antenna surrounding the wood case inside plus an external jack for what I am guessing would be a phonograph plug. There are also the adjustment ports in the back for the front pushbuttons.

The frame of the electronics is marked Oct 2, 1952. A full electronic schematic can be obtained for this radio upon request at no charge. I am very certain it is still available and hopefully I can find it for you if you need it.

The case is in great condition for a 55 year old radio. There is some wear here and there but cosmetically the radio looks very good as shown in the photos.

The case measures 12 inches tall by 20 inches wide and 12.5 inches deep.
