1960's Smith-Corona Super Sterling Portable Typewriter
This manual typewriter definitely carries the clean lines look of the late 1960's. It has a Tab key and margin control Set and Release keys right on the keyboard which were important extra features in those days.
The SUPER STERLING model was the top of the line for Smith Corona, and it is a very fine typing machine.
Everything is working on this machine; it has been serviced and ready for duty if you're up to typing on a manual typewriter, or it would also make a very good yesteryear display.
This unit comes complete with its own original trimline carrying case. This typewriter has a new ribbon installed on it. I have new ribbons for sale in my store listed under TYPEWRITER SUPPLIES.

1950's Smith-Corona STERLING Portable Typewriter
This manual typewriter definitely carries the retro look of the 1950's with its green color and white key buttons. It has a Tab key and margin control release keys right on the keyboard which were important extra features in those days.
This particular typewriter has a clean looking type style font as you can see in the photos. The STERLING model was the top of the line for Smith Corona, and it is a very fine typing machine.
Everything is working on this machine; it has been serviced and ready for duty if you're up to typing on a manual typewriter, or it would also make a very good yesteryear display.
This unit comes complete with its own carrying case which was called the 'trimline' Smith-Corona case. This typewriter has a good ribbon on it, and ribbons for any of these old manual typewriters can be found in my store under the typewriter supplies category.
The carrying case does have a lock and key that is in good order. This is an exceptionally clean typewriter that appears to have had very little use. Help yourself to this piece of yesteryear.

Collectible 1940 Swiss Hermes Baby Jubilee Typewriter
Here is a most unusual portable manual HERMES typewriter made in Switzerland by the Paillard s. a. Yverdon and distributed in the USA by Paillard Products, Inc of 100 Sixth Ave, New York 13, NY. That is all written on the back of the typewriter and dates it for sure.
The typewriter is unusual by the fact the number and letter keys are black and the function keys are gray colored. There are no ribbon or ribbon spools with this typewriter, but a universal ribbon should work nicely, and they can be found on the Internet by searching with Google. A visit to your local office supply might also yield a ribbon with spools that will fit the machine.
This typewriter is really well-built and has a solid typing touch to it. It is very easy to type and the machine is very well designed.
It measures 11 inches wide by 11 inches deep and 2.75 inches tall. The carrying case is actually part of the typewriter. The top of the case comes off and the typewriter is ready for action.

This machine has been serviced and is ready for use, or it would make a great item for a collector display. It would also work great for a movie prop. It has the look of a military field typewriter. The typewriter itself only weighs 7 pounds. With packing and box it will probably ship for around 11 pounds. This is very light for a portable typewriter.

1930's Black Underwood Portable Manual Typewriter
This lovely old black 1930's portable Underwood UNIVERSAL typewriter has wonderful ombiance and even has a touch control which was state of the art for those years. This typewriter has been serviced and is ready to go to work if anyone has the will to use a manual typewriter again or it would make a great display piece. It is also a highly revered collector item.
This particular typewriter comes complete with its original carrying case.

Wards Signature 500 Manual Typewriter
This manual typewriter is in excellent condition. It has been serviced and checked out and all is functioning properly. There is a paint scratch on the upper left corner of the machine as shown in the photos.
A new ribbon has been installed so this typewriter is ready for duty. I have extra ribbons in my store that will fit this machine under the TYPEWRITER SUPPLIES category. The type is crisp and clear as shown in the photo. It comes with its own carrying case that has the key and locks. The plastic knob is missing from the case latch, but the metal lever it mounts on is still there and in working condition so not any difficulty whatsoever.

1948 Royal Arrow Portable Typewriter w/Covered Keys
This wonderful typewriter with black keys is a striking unit that is in excellent working condition. It is a Royal model called ARROW and it has a tab key with a magic margin lever and 10 position touch control.
The type style is in good alignment on this typewriter. This typewriter has a good ribbon on it and new replacement ribbons are for sale in my store under the typewriter supplies category or you can email me.
The keys appear to be covered either with thin glass or plastic for a special touch and easy feel to the typewriter. This item also comes complete with the original carrying case.

This is a classic typewriter from the 60's. It was made by Underwood and it was their 319 model machine which has a very low and sleek design.
Everything is working on this machine; it has been serviced and ready for duty if you're up to typing on a manual typewriter, or it would also make a very good yesteryear display. The typewriter has a a good touch feel to it.

There is a sticker on the bottom of the case that shows the typewriter was serviced in 1981 and it also has a typewriter service company decal on the top cover from Clovis, California. It appears this machine had good care during its years.

Nostalgic Turquoise Remington Streamliner Typewriter
This manual typewriter is a turquoise color of the 70's. What a gorgeous color. This typewriter has been properly serviced and is ready to go to work if anyone has the will to use a manual typewriter again.
This particular typewriter comes complete with its original awesome vinyl case of which the bottom part is also part of the typewriter. Just remove the top lid and the machine is ready to type.
The photos may show some typebars slightly raised from their resting point but there is nothing wrong with them. I had set the typewriter on its back during the photo shoot and some of the bars did not drop back down immediately. This is not a problem and I wanted to point that out for you. This is a very clean typewriter that obviously has had good care along the way.

1972 Smith Corona Electric Coronet Portable Typewriter
This wonderful 1970's ELECTRIC typewriter definitely carries the nostalgic look of the 70's. It was a very well built machine that has the typing touch of the best machines made in that era. It has all the features anyone could want and everthing is working beautifully on this machine.
This particular typewriter has a very clear and good looking type. It even still has with it the original sales slip witnessing this typewriter was purchased from a North Dakota Kmart on September 19, 1972 for $149.76.
The typewriter has a 12 inch platen on it (wide platen) which means you can put a sheet of paper in sideways which is great for ledger pages, etc. This unit comes complete with its own original 'Trimline' carrying case. This typewriter has a new ribbon on it. I sell new ribbons also in my store which are located under the category of TYPEWRITER SUPPLIES.
If you are looking for a good yesteryear working typewriter that is a workhorse and ready for hard work, this is the machine for you.
A side note is that the tab bar is hard to locate in the pictures as it is the long bar in between the SET and CLEAR buttons just under the Coronet Automatic 12 logo. What a great and easy to operate machine this is.

Black Ink Ribbon For Most Portable Typewriters
This new nylon replacement typewriter ribbon will fit many portable typewriters that have a single pin mounting post with a small drive pin near its base to drive the ribbon. It will fit most portable Smith-Corona, Hermes, Underwood, Royal, Adler or Sears typewriters. The spool size is 2 inches across and the ribbon measures 1/2 inch in height.
