This very old camera has been serviced and is in operating condition. It is a great old camera for a nostalgic display or for use as a movie prop.
I was able to locate a complete owners manual for this camera and it is included with this purchase. Reading this manual is worth the price of this item by itself. It is amazing! The manual was obviously owned by a George Hesser of Ada, Ohio as that is signed just inside the front cover of the booklet.
This 70 year old Regular 8mm movie camera was state of the art for its day. It has a windup mainspring to run the motor and the entire case is done in the old wrinkle finish black paint. There are all sorts of adjustments one can make to the camera---it is best to read the fascinating booklet to fully understand the complete functions of this wonderful item.
It measures 7 inches tall by 305 inches wide and 2 inches deep. This is a rather small camera for a movie camera. |
