Anyone nearing retirement age will remember this clock. There must have been 100's of thousands of them sold by Westclox in the late 40's and early 50's. This clocks was the old reliable standby alarm clock of yesteryear. It is a windup alarm clock and made entirely of metal.

My wife remembers her Father coming out of his bedroom every night at bedtime to look at the electric clock hanging in the kitchen to get an accurate time so he could set and wind his Westclox alarm for the night. She clearly remembers him winding the clock (rather noisy) and hearing the rather loud ticking of the clock as the night pressed on.
This particular clock is in excellent condition and operates with good time keeping. It is a nostalgic look at an era long gone when money was very tight and the budget always lacking. Westclox came out with this model as an answer to cost effective alarm clocks.
The glass crystal of this clock is not chipped or cracked and the clock face is also in great condition. There are some white paint speckles around the clock adding to its character for sure.
