This wonderful 1970's ELECTRIC typewriter definitely carries the nostalgic look of the 70's. It was a very well built machine that has the typing touch of the best machines made in that era. It has all the features anyone could want and everything is working beautifully on this machine.
This particular typewriter has a very clear and good looking type. The ribbon is a quick change cartridge ribbon as shown in the photos.
The typewriter has a 12 inch platen on it which allows wider paper widths. This unit comes complete with its own original 'Trimline' carrying case. I sell new ribbons also in my store which are located under the category of TYPEWRITER SUPPLIES or you can still get these cartridge ribbons at your local office supply store. They come in red, red/black and black----both fabric and mylar ribbons. I think they even make a lift-off ribbon for these electric machines. I have a used spare cartridge that has a little bit of red mylar ribbon left on it and will send that along with the typewriter for you. The typewriter already has a new black fabric ribbon cartridge installed on it and that will stay in the typewriter.
If you are looking for a good yesteryear working electric typewriter that is a workhorse and ready for hard work, this is the machine for you.
A side note is that this machine has a half-space key which is handy for some special typing applications. The tab bar is hard to locate in the pictures as it is the long bar in between the SET and CLEAR buttons just under the Coronet Super 12 logo. What a great and easy to operate machine this is. |
